Manon Sockalingum, Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and Public Accountant registered with the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA), began his career in 1992 in small and medium Accountancy & Audit firms and then joined Ernst & Young Mauritius (now EY) in 1994, where he spent more than 5 years and progressed to the position of Manager.
In 1999, he moved into the hospitality sector as Financial Controller at Beau Rivage Hotel (now LUX* Belle Mare), before joining Prisunic (Monoprix) in the group of Harel Mallac and then the Beachcomber Group in 2002 as Financial Controller of Le Mauricia Hotel.
He took the challenge in joining the BPO sector as Manager at Accenture Mauritius in 2005, where he developed extensive expertise in outsourcing. He was responsible of several Finance & Accounting projects and had the chance to work on different BPO opportunities and transitions of new projects. During his tenure he travelled to Prague and Germany to collaborate with other delivery centres and new clients and also collaborated with different leadership teams worldwide.
In 2010, he co-founded GPO Limited (now Grant Thornton Services Ltd) as Director, and became a Partner of Grant Thornton France in 2015. Since then, he has led the firm's development and transformation into a high-value service platform within Grant Thornton France.
Manon is now the Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Mauritius and oversees the 4 service lines: Audit, Advisory, Tax and Outsourcing
